SocialToaster 4.1 World's First Socially-Connected Kitchen Appliance
Continuing the trend for socially-connected devices, SocialToaster® 4.1 is a true innovation as the world's first kitchen appliance designed from the ground-up to allow you take advantage of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more.

The appliance connects to the Internet via standard WiFi connection, and a simple start-up wizard makes it easy to get online.
Once connected you can then link the device to your own personal social networks. Features include:
- Built-in ability to connect to Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Modular architecture supports plug-ins for other social services, such as StumbleUpon and Plancast.
- Configurable settings allow you to set your own custom notification messages.
- Notifications are posted automatically based on your selection settings. Default messages include: "Lightly done toast today", "Medium done toast today", "I just burnt my toast", "Opting for a bagel", and others.
- Twitter support allows you to follow other SocialToaster 4.1 users and adopt their toast configuration profiles. You can even link to a Twitter List to randomly choose a different user profile to use for the day.
- Facebook Events support allows you to program the device for future toast-making, sort of like a traditional toast timer but far cooler in that you can invite all of your friends to participate and RSVP to join your breakfast experience.
- Using the LinkedIn integration you can find out which of your connections are also using SocialToaster 4.1, and how far removed you are from those connections of theirs that are also using the appliance. You can then request to connect to those people to gain access to their SocialToaster profiles.
The new SocialToaster 4.1 appliance is destined to revolutionize the kitchen experience. Social Toaster, LLC, the manufacturer of the device, cites plans to expand the model to other appliances, including future releases such as the SocialFridge, SocialOven, and SocialMicrowave. Look for these appliances to hit the market in early April 2012.

Comments
It has been brought to our attention that Samsung actually beat SocialToaster to the punch with their Tweeting Refrigerator, which debuted this year at CES 2011. We apologize for the error, although we still feel that the device is noteworthy, and that its social integration is far superior to the RF4289.
