In the words of any economist, it depends. If you are interested in a SocialToaster Blog, then no, your technical team does not have to be involved to get you up and Toasting. However, if you are interested in SocialToaster Enterprise, then our team will need to work with your IT group to coordinate installation with your existing enterprise software programs. If you are interested in one of our content management system-integrated products like SocialToaster for Drupal or WordPress, we expect that a certain amount of technical expertise will be required to get the module up and running for your site.

No. SocialToaster can be implemented off the shelf using the stand-alone blogging version, SocialToaster Blog. If you are interested in customizing SocialToaster to hook into your existing CRM system or e-commerce solution, we are happy to work with you on an individual basis to make SocialToaster Enterprise fit your current systems. We also offer SocialToaster for various web site content management systems including Drupal and WordPress.  And when your system only has an RSS feed, SocialToaster can be set up to use the RSS feed of your web site without needing a SocialToaster module.

A SocialToaster post is a single update or link published to a single social networking site. For example, if you have 5 Ambassadors, each with 2 social networks registered for SocialToaster broadcasting, and you do 2 blog updates per week and broadcast each update to these social networks that would amount to about 80 SocialToaster posts per month.

Employees, customers, fans, members, or anyone connected to your organization who has a social networking account can serve as an Ambassador. You decide which stakeholder group will best serve your organization in the Ambassador role. Once you solicit their participation, Ambassadors can quickly and easily set up their SocialToaster account, choose their broadcast settings, begin sharing your message, and driving visitors to your site.

Our clients have used many different media to recruit Ambassadors including internal companywide emails to engage employees, e-newsletters to customers, Facebook page posts, blogs, and Tweets. As long as you include a link to your Ambassador sign up page in whatever communications piece you create, the possibilities are endless! Your Ambassadors will complete their sign up and registration process in a quick and easy online process. Once they register, activate their social networking accounts to broadcast your content, and choose the AutoPost approval option, they need not do anything. SocialToaster will take care of everything. However, if they choose the Email Confirmation approval option they will receive an email to approve content each time you would like to broadcast something to their social network.

No. SocialToaster will not have access to Brand Ambassadors’ social networking accounts. The program cannot access any of their personal information such as account logins, passwords, photos, friend requests, etc. Aside from sharing information and tracking its distribution, SocialToaster will not be monitoring your Brand Ambassadors' social networking activity.

Yes, when setting up their accounts Ambassadors will be prompted to choose the social networks to which SocialToaster will be able to broadcast. Currently SocialToaster only supports broadcasting to Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, and Twitter.  Ambassadors can select to share content on any or all of these networks.

No, you as the content creator have complete control over the message that is broadcast using SocialToaster. Unlike other solutions on the market, Brand Ambassadors cannot edit or comment on the message being shared on their social networks. This prevents dilution of your desired message and maintains brand consistency.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently revised its Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. According to the FTC, this new guide addresses endorsements by consumers, experts, organizations, and celebrities, as well as the disclosure of important connections between advertisers and endorsers. It is because of these revisions that SocialToaster will automatically disclose to an Ambassador’s networks that they are acting as an Ambassador for your organization and could be rewarded as such.
