SocialToaster Frequently Asked Questions
What is SocialToaster?
SocialToaster is an enterprise-level fan engagement platform that uses the power of social media to amplify your brand’s message. Our custom platform allows you to identify, recruit and activate your best supporters and vocal enthusiasts (we call them Superfans) who are proud to share your brand’s content.
How Does SocialToaster Work?
Think of it as a toaster for your brand’s content;  you put your content in and SocialToaster pops it out (we call this Toasting) to all of your Superfans. Once you launch your program, your biggest fans use our easy signup process that connects their social network accounts to your campaign. A few times a week, your brand’s content is sent through SocialToaster, via email to your Superfans. Then, Superfans use their superpowers (with the help of our patented one-click sharing process) to broadcast your brand’s content to their friends and followers. Can Superfans Choose Which Networks to Connect To?
Yes. During the signup process, they will choose which social networks SocialToaster will connect to. Currently, SocialToaster can connect to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Spotify and Tumblr.
Do You Provide Superfans?
Yes and no. We do offer a Superfan recruitment service but it’s not mandatory—you can recruit on your own using your existing audience. To start, we recommend recruiting internally: ask company staff, partners, and employees to sign up. Promote your program to your existing mailing lists and fans on social media as well. Call-to-action videos and ads can also be effective. Our value-added recruiting service allows us to promote your program and grow it through our influencer network relationships and through targeted ads that leverage our proprietary data for targeting. However, we do not have a built-in database of Superfans that we “loan out”, nor are we an influencer network looking for individual influencers.
What Should I Share with My Superfans on SocialToaster?
Share your brand’s latest news and updates that your Superfans can then share with their friends. The more relevant and interesting your content is, the more it will drive website traffic, app downloads, or whatever action it is that you want your Superfans to take. Clients commonly use SocialToaster to promote blogs, press releases, videos, and news updates via their Superfans.
How Does SocialToaster Handle Privacy and Permissions?
SocialToaster respects your privacy, recognizes your need for appropriate protection and management of your personal identifiable information that you share with us, and is committed to protecting it. Take a look at our Privacy and Security Policy for information about our policies and practices regarding how we collect information from you, how we use and disclose it, and your rights with respect to such information.  This Privacy and Security Policy is incorporated into and is subject to our Terms of Service. Superfans will not have content posted to their social networks without notification. Even if they choose to auto-post content, Superfans are still notified and have an option to opt-out of a post before it is shared. Superfan information is not shared between our clients unless those clients have an existing agreement to share information.
How Often Should I Promote Content?
We recommend that you promote content one to three times per week. And remember: posting with SocialToaster is simple and an easy way to amplify your brand’s message!
