Prepare and beware America! SocialToaster is multiplying like John Travolta’s chills. We have officially expanded from our Baltimore headquarters to both the City That Never Sleeps and the City of Angels. New York City and Los Angeles! And in all honesty, those of us in Baltimore are a tiny bit jealous, because it certainly doesn’t suck to be working in either of those cities everyday (Kidding, we love B-more!). To understand our “jealousy”, we’re going to give you an inside look into what our two new offices are up to.
Beverly Hills, That’s Where We’re Gonna Be! Well Almost
The Staples Center, the Dolby Theatre, and now SocialToaster. The City of Angels has officially gained some supers. “Our office space is right in the center of Los Angeles, so it makes it easy for everyone to get to,” Austin Haye, EVP of the West Toast said. “We’re also on a busy street with everything you need to be productive.”
Being in the Entertainment Capital of the World definitely has its perks. West Toasters can stop by and say hi to Sony, who is right around the corner. The office itself is very sleek and modern so it has a simplistic feel. With multiple conference rooms, West Toasters can host clients and huddle up quickly to collaborate with each other.
The West Toast is made of an amazing team: Austin Haye, Taylor Gaussoin, Creative Director, Evan Naugle, Graphic Designer, Kara Ashe, Director of Channel Partnerships, Thomas Steffan, Director of Partnership Marketing, Matt Flaherty, Account Manager, and Colin Calabrese, Director of Partnership Marketing
“We have had a few SocialToasting events to celebrate birthdays along with a few happy hours at local bars,” Austin said. “Everyone has a great time. A few members of our team have become good friends and even hang out with each other outside of the office.”
The (Big) Apple of Our Eye
Everyone knows about the famous Empire State Building right? You know, one of the world’s tallest buildings? Well if you look closely (and considerably downwards), just a few blocks north of the building you’ll find the newest SocialToaster office! And not to toot our own horn, but it’s pretty sick.
Tamara Khan, Director of Partnership Marketing & Business Development, holds down the NY East Toast in the concrete jungle. Not only does she get a view of the Empire State Building, the MetLife Building, and so many others, but she gets to see them from the several terraces that are right off the office. Do you know how precious and valuable outdoor space is in New York?! It’s almost the equivalent of a unicorn.
The terraces aren’t the only outdoor space that the NY office gets to enjoy. NY Toasters have access to the rooftop garden that they share with other companies in the building. Sharing the building has actually been a perk, as well. “Sometimes we see commercials being filmed or other companies taking advantage of our workspace, which is fun networking,” Tamara said.
They have exuberantly told us that they have hosted clients for drinks, lunches, and happy hour events. “We’ve enjoyed wine nights with Merkle, Smuckers, ABC,” Tamara added. “We hope to put together a large event so that several NYC agencies and clients can meet and greet more SocialToasters.”
Also, as we turn green with envy, we should mention that there’s a movie theater on the 11th floor.
